AFL News: Essendon Investigation

The recent scandal in the AFL has brought about an investigation into the Essendon Football Club by the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority. The club faces bans of up to two years if they’re found guilty. It has now become apparent that the investigation could span beyond six months. The ASADA has revealed that they will be interviewing 150 AFL and NRL stars. Essendon remain positive and maintain that they have done nothing wrong and that none of their players have taken any performance-enhancing substances.

It is now being said that the Essendon scandal has caused the Australian Crime Commission to launch a wide-ranging investigation into drugs in sport.
